The Light 05:25
See the light They try to sell their truth but we won’t buy it See the light Always keep in mind faith ain’t knowledge See the light So many years now, but still they try to tell you stories about this power Do you believe them you should know better What they really want is to stay in power They try to fool you but I know you are clever See the light You learned about history and you know the facts See the light Do you believe them you should know better What they really want is to stay in power Try to see the light inside the darkness Focus on facts and don’t let them blind you Can you see the light Do you try to see the light Do you believe them you should know better What they really want is to stay in power Try to see the light inside the darkness Focus on facts and don’t let them blind you

Hold Me 05:18
Another day, I wake up Still feel sleepy but you woke me up Another day, same world You dress me up and say I need to eat Wish I could do it on my own I don’t feel too bad I don’t feel too sad But I know you…. Don’t hold me back Go to school, need to learn Already did this once before Who cares? I just need more My dream is to remember it all one day You tell me I’m okay I feel different all the time But I know you…. You hold me You hold me back all my life You hold me Save me You save me all my life In my dreams I can ride I like horses I like horses See them ride SOLO Hold me You hold me all my life You hold me Save me You safe me all my life Until there’s no life left

Holy Moments 09:17
People come and people go Do they really touch your soul? People come and let you down Your cries will be the only sound Genocide is suicide You need them by your side You don’t want to be alone When you go into the unknown Holy moments in your life Try to store them in your heart Fragile things are hart to keep Try to save them with your life When you think you know it all You will be surprised Those moments you have missed They might change your mind People did ignore their fate Now they see, but it’s too late We destroyed all life on earth Now we hope for rebirth Holy moments in your life Try to store them in your heart Fragile things are hart to keep Try to save them with your life There’s no life - on this rock Pure suicide But you know - you will try May it cost your life

Barcelona 05:31
He drives the truck into the people you hear the screams With wide open eyes you see the act of mass murder

This World 05:37
We walk this path together We’re holding hands forever Until we part together Our love brought us together We will never forget how hard it was to keep that together You cannot have this world It belongs to us And now we’re still together It seems to go on forever Until we vanish together Our love brought us together We will never forget how hard it was to keep that together You cannot have this world It belongs to us This world belongs to us This world belongs to us And all our children We saw the light together It seems to shine on forever We will remember together Our love brought us together We will never forget how hard it was to keep that together You cannot have this world It belongs to us This world belongs to us This world belongs to us And all our children

Breathe 12:03
One day I tried to breathe but there was no air As my body fall down I felt so alive Panic in my mind What’s happening now I’m not ready to go The good times coming now Trying to breathe Trying to breathed Trying to breathe, but there’s no air One day I tried to stand but there was no ground As my body fall down I felt so alive Panic in my mind What’s happening now I’m not ready to go The good times coming now Trying to breathe Trying to breathed Trying to breathe, but there’s no air Trying to breathe, but there is no air Deep under water, there is no air When you feel depressed, when you feel sad Deep under water, there is no air I wish you came and held my hand When I’m in trouble or in pain Held my head out of the water But I’m alone inside my head Take my trouble, take my pain Hold my head out of the ice cold water I’m dying inside my head One day I tried to breathe but there was no air As my body fall down I felt so alive Panic in my mind What’s happening now I’m not ready to go The good times coming now Trying to breathe Trying to breathed Trying to breathe, but there’s no air

about

With "Breathe" we went on a long journey from writing the first song "This World" mid 2017 to our first milestone release of 5/7 songs in May 2021, until now, when we finally release the last remaining songs "Hold Me" and "Holy Moments" today, 26th of March 2022.

Sitting masked, isolated by noise-canceling headphones and a little bit separated from other passengers in a U-Bahn car on my way to work in Frankfurt, Germany, I listen through the whole album for the first time since I received the last two master tracks from the studio. Pictures fly by in my mind and on the window. A lot has happened since our last live gig in Frankfurt in December 2020 with people without masks or distancing in the same room! Since I am continuously recording our songs from demo to studio quality I can not really say when the actual recording for "Breathe" started, but I know when it changed from a local project to a virtual one, becoming bigger this way then I have ever imagined before.

During the first "Lockdown" in March 2020 we have had to put rehearsals and recording sessions on hold. We finished the tracks in many different ways. Sending project files and tracks over the internet and working separately. Sometimes I had to record tracks myself rather than the actual musician. Out of boredom Kai and I bought cheap keyboards and tons of sound libraries. Therefore all tracks became greater than we planned or could ever reproduce live on stage. Mellotrons, Pianos, Strings, Trumpets, old school Synthesizers made their entrance to the world of Distance to Here. OMG, everything took so much time....But it was worth it!

We lost a bass player on the way and found a new one. Thanks to Aleks for his bass tracks on most of the songs and welcome Marco into our world.

The journey for "Breathe" has come to an end.

The next one is about to start soon...

Enjoy our music,
Felix

about

Distance to Here Frankfurt, Germany

Under the name of "Distance to Here", one of the region's more unusual recent band projects was formed in 2017. This quartet is mainly interested in working out the individual character of every new song idea in all its detail, picking the best ideas from the last twenty years of music history on the way, regardless of whatever obscure corner of rock music this process may take them. ... more
